This edition is designed to be a reference guide chock full of calibrations, formulas, and general guidelines that foundries and die casters need every day. If a pump, instrument, or machine is out of spec – that means your production is out of spec. Part accuracy is in microns and that means machinery accuracy must also be that exact. Foundry automation is exploding with more computers running processes than ever before. Additive manufacturing methods are also introducing a whole new set of rules that must be adhered to. The days of ‘winging it’ or ‘best guessing’ – are over and that’s a good thing as part quality and performance depend on accuracy in production.
